0701 Mult. Cylinder Misfire
The other day my car started acting up, i noticed a stumbling when stopped or coming to a stop, i changed all the spark plugs hoping that was it and still nothing. I then pulled the codes and got a 0701 which indicates a mult cylinder misfire. I was wondering how this happens or if anyone has any info on how to fix it. I SEARCHED found a thread that stated about engine start troubles. I have no trouble starting my car it starts fine, just has a stumble at low rpms..... I also see that coils could be a key factor here as well, if so how do i check the coils? Any info or answers is greatly appreciated

O and PS i accidentally knocked it into neutral the other day while on the highway could this be a reason?

Just checked the coils have one bad coil in the back left rear there is no change in idle when disconnected... After i checked the codes again this time i got different codes 0304 KS which i got last time and 0201 indicates a problem with the ignition coil and power transistor. Should i just replace the one coil or check for a electrical error?

Also note that most likely you got P1320 because you disconnected the coil while the engine was running.

My car clearly misfires at idle, sometimes intermittent bumps and sometimes almost continuous shaking, but I dont get a misfire code whenever that happens. Is this what you are speaking about - the duration and frequency of the misfire required for the ECU to detect it being too relaxed?

As far as your misfire issue, you still on the original coils? If so, change them. All of them.

I am in the process of changing my coils. Changed a couple, will be swapping out the rest in the next few days. I dont think I am on original coils on all cylinders, I found some Hanshins and some Mitsibushis. I threw out a couple of Hanshins and put new ones and swapped a Hanshin for the old Mitsibushi. Car still misses at idle, but seems to be less frequent. I am hoping its the coils.

Well i replaced the "bad" coil with a brand new one and still nothing, turns out the coil isn't getting any power, but the rest of the rear coils are
Update: It also sounds like i have a rod knock could this be because of the 1 cylinder not firing?

UPDATE: So i just spent four hours working on my car to try and figure out what it is doing. I ran every test possible, checked all the coils:
Ran resistance(ok)
Voltage(ok)
Spark(ok)
So it wasn't the coils
Checked the compression on all 6 cylinders, all were good the, misfiring cylinder had the best compression actually
After doing all this checked the O2 sensors, both came back not good on the VOM.
So we came to the conclusion that i have 2 bad O2 sensors and a bad injector causing it to run rich/lean....therefor causing the stumbling
So tomorrow we are goin to pull 2 O2 sensors off another Max and an injector see if that fixes it, if not its goin to nissan and i guess i'm goin to just have to sit there and take it like fresh prison meat

Interesting, both your front O2 sensors are bad? And no O2 codes right?
I will check my O2 sensors too to see whats their status.
Correct me if I am wrong, if its the O2 sensors, you should not have a misfire untill the warm up because their data is not used by the ECM. Also, I remember reading somewhere on the org that if you disconnect the bad O2 sensor(s) after the car has warmed up, it should not misfire as the ECU will use the default ratios based on time after start e.t.c...
I will check my O2 sensors too to see whats their status.
