What are the symptoms of a Waterpump going south?

Does it make a specific noise? Do you loose coolant?

easy - check the coolant level. The tank level should remain constant and the radiator should be totally full when you open it (cold of course). Park in the same spot so you can see the coolant leak on the ground. It doesn't evaporate, so this isn't tough. Put down cardboard if you are in garley paved lot and don't have a cushey garage. If the level is going down and its leaking out the pulley side of the motor, its likely that you have a wp failure.

Coolant in radiator has been full (when cold) since I replaced it a month and half ago. The tank though has dropped to the "MIN" level a couple of times (after refills), but has never dropped below that level. Strange.

The coolant level in the overflow will fluctuate. What are you symptoms? Do you hear a bearing noise? Is it leaking out onto the ground? Do you smell coolant inside or outside of the car? What's making you think you have a problem?

I noticed a coolant leak this morning coming from inside the passenger wheel area. Seems like a small slow leak, but afetr driving for a few minutes, I got out and smelled coolant burning. The overdlow tank is down to about halfway between the min and max lines

i just replaced a water pump and only true symptom is a small leak out of the weap hole which is a fail safe. first the gasket will go and then a small leak will develop out of this hole to give you time to get somewhere. the leak will be in passenger side finder because the water pump is on the front of the motor. you should be fine for a bit but you will know because you wont be able to drive more than 15 min tops before overheating.

I have a leak now from the pulley side of the engine, I can still drive fine, long as I fill the overflow tank up with fluid. The overflow tank does fluctuate regularly. I also have a hairline crack from the top of the radiator. I know I'm losing fluid from there too. But still not sealing with 'fix-it' radiator sealant.

I had a small leak of coolant somewhere too. Turned out to be a lil seeping from end of the radiator hoses to the engine on the front of the engine.

I changed my radiator awhile but noticed recently that my coolant reserv was low. I'll check for the weeping WP, but how hard is it to change?

In most cases, yes you would loose coolant. It will sometimes make a noise, sometimes not.
