Yeah i need a new coolant hose...one of them snapped into pieces while i was removing the manifold....and i have it removed to change two of my injectors that took a dump on me.
Would Carb/ TB cleaner be fine to clean out the UIM? Yeah Ill prob removed the EGR tube and clean that out too...my IACV has 26k on it..the previous owner changed it and its not too dirty
MY gaskets are all fairly new...i got a new IACV gasket though so ill probably do that

That Deep Creep stuff is a little more expensive, but I like it because it's concentrated. Well worth the money IMO, but if you have cans of CRC fawk it. It should work just as well.

When I took my UIM off it was nasty inside. So I went to the store and bought a can engine D-greaser, went to the self wash and washed the UIM with a pressure washer inside and out till it sparkled in side and out. I all so did valve cover gaskets, cleaned EGR tube, IACV, TB, and replaced knock sensor and PCV valve. It turned out good for me hopefully it turns out good for you and it also made the car run smoother.

i let mine soak with tb cleaner and let it drain out...then dry...then wiped it down and used a dremel tool with a polishing head and polished as much as i could of the upper and lower

Im all for cleaning the car. But i get nervous when cleaning the engine compartment. I have never done so cuz i dont want to short anything

im talking about cleaning inside the manifold...not the outside....and as for cleaning the compartment...you wont shrot anything out...just put a bag over the abttery, cone filter intake if you have one, and the alternator and hose her down....while shes cold not hot

It's not show worthy yet (didn't really wait or did it a second time over), but i've gotten a few "ooh, this car is how old again" comments.
