Blue Maxima + 124mph on hwy 19 + body kit = FUNNY S*** :D

Ok, so here is the story, i drove my car on highway 19 and was flooring her. and she managed to hit the governor, but still pulled off 124 Mph. But in the end i heard a HUGE clip noise from the front end, i thought my tire blew or something.. but it wasn't.. so i slowed down, parked my car got out and found that the bottom front end of my body kit completely collapsed from the wind i guess.. lol but anywho..... here is a photo i took after driving her home.

But i am thinking i might just get a +97 front end and a lip and just not worry about the side skirts and rear bumper, since they haven't been damaged after i added like 10 layers of biferglass on them to the body of the car.. o_O

so yeah.. enjoy. and btw, that made my day, even though i was pissed and all.

but my question, is should i just get a replacement bumper? stock and lip, or try to refiberglass it in, or what?

Well that's quite unfortunate.... But really hilarious... I wasn't a fan of that bumper w/o an intercooler anyways... Time for a 97 conversion+Ionic dynamic front lip, it'll still have that aggressive thing you were goin for.

I kinda doubt that was just the wind...my guess is a rock in the road or something.

However, IMO you should just get the 97+ bumper.

so that kidna pisses me off. but i should be hopefully be buying from him as soon as i get my money together is he hadn't sold it yet.

Maybe it's cause I am older or something, but I fail to see how "flooring my car on highway 19 and doing 124mph" is funny.
lucky you didn't loose control and kill yourself or someone else.

yeah, not to be **** ish but on these forums you cant say that kinda thing.. glad your alright though! anywho 97 Front end conversion FTW! i can guarentee youll like it better, and best part you can repaint the car sometime soon! =] unless you want it to stay that color.

a good place to get a bumper cover, where i got mine at least is a company called parts-fit or certifit we have an account with them as a shop got my bumper covers for 28 bucks a piece, unpainted jsut primed, heated mirror 26 bucks, fender 38 bucks.. yeah my max has had some work done

Yep I think a 97 front end with a lip would look fantastic!

I am not sure about your roads but sometimes I notice random things on the road, like one time on my way to school in I-5 I saw a giant black bean bag fall off of a truck and someone going too fast ran head on into the bag and it got stuck in their rear tire fender well and I can image having a bean bag in there might cause some control problems, especially if it somehow got stuck in the front tires and you couldn't turn left or right.

But long story short, keep it safe. I have seen too many people my age race down the roads and drive like as if they were in Need For Speed where they can crash into cars and nothing happens to their cars. Only to post pictures of their wrecked cars a few days later on Facebook.

That is the UGLIEST front end ever. Sorry dude, but the only 'aftermarket' body parts that should be on our cars is a Stillen kit or Ionic kit. Nothing else. This isn't 2002 and the year of the Fast and the Furious anymore.

I'm glad it broke on ya, now you can make the car look the way it was supposed to look. CLEAN.

Good luck .

from my point of view i think you should get the 97-99 conv. then do the stillen lip...do not get the ionic because it is fiberglass and im too lazy to scroll up and see if your lowered or anything but if you are then the fiberglass will crack and if you do more runs like you just did i think the lip will be ok but over time if you hit a speed bump the wrong way or w/e the case may be it will crack

Pfff governor is at 117 mph meaning you might just have a poor running non governed max or you were going down hill!

I happen to like the 95-96 front end, I mean I like the 97-99 better but its not a conversion I'd personally bother with. The kits available for the 97-99 are def nicer looking thats for sure

i liked your max as is, didnt look trashy to me, just replace it. you cant have a blue+black maxima and keep it classy, so go for angry and sporty.
EDIT; i lol'd at "fiberglassing it in"
your gonna need ALOT

sick! haha nice to hear the max could hold that, i think i got 120mph downhill going against a 325i, pushin it the limit, MAX power wins!!... I think stillen lip with the 97-99 front.

I think your case is the only way i would accept losin' a front bumper..

I'm older too, so .... I got all that stuff out of the way when I was a teenager. Open road or not, there are times and places to do this sort of thing. Do you really think a public hiway is the place or time?

Actually I like his body kit

I mean there is a empty gap... and all it needs is a inter cooler and some turbo piping to make it look beast! And yes, I like Fast and Furious waaaaaaaaaay too much, I'm sorry

Plus 2.

You need to check and see what the fine/penalty is if you catch police radar doing triple digits. In California, it goes from just being a speeding ticket to Reckless Driving, and they take you in, in cuffs.

Okay, so you think it's okay to come onto a public forum and admit to committing a crime that's punishable by jail time and a multiple-thousand-dollar fine?

Reeeealllll smaaaart.

Enjoy your vacation while you think about how STUPID that was. (and I'm not talking about posting the story on here.)

When you come back, make sure I never see you post about committing crimes again.
