Headlight Problem

So my passenger side headlight went out again today, second time in about 6 months. took out the old bulb, and everything looked fine. Put a new bulb in and it still wouldnt work. Fuses for the headlights on the drivers side of the engine bay were fine. What could this be?

You have to check the wiring, but you can start by checking the grounds. Are both the low and high beams out on that side?

Did you change both bulbs or just one? For some reason whenever you change one bulb you need to change the other side too or the new one will burn out really fast.

I've had a bulb burn out in 2 weeks because I didn't change the other side.

That's unrelated. It has to do with the life of each bulb, lets say 2000 hours. You only ever have both headlamps on at once so when one goes, the other is close behind.

I feel your pain, it's cold here too. The grounds are the black wires with the white dots exiting the headlamp harness. Check the resistance to the negative battery terminal with a multimeter. Should be less than one ohm.
