The entire assembly is not cheap. It's not super expensive either, but I doubt anyone is going to give it to you for free.

Uh, guys, I think he wants to know who has one, the price, or other relative information on where to buy one; I don't think he wants to just know who has one, and they they use it. Just my $0.02.

lol, was looking for free. Figured someone might have stripped one from theirs and threw it in the backyard or shed. I thought most people wouldn't want one. Kind of a necessity for me though. Ill check CL and Feebay for cheap.

You are willing to pay, at least cheap. Which is what I figured youd have to do because of the first posts not getting you anywhere. SOZ.
Keep my change.

I pulled a 16ft trailer loaded down when I was moving a couple times. I pulled a 96 Maxima on a car dolly. I and a few times I pulled an 8ft trailer with a ladder rack, sometimes it would have an old roof-top AC unit on it (about 600-700lbs). Never had any problems. In fact it pulled better than my 95 Hardbody. HOWEVER, it put a LOT of stress on my rear shocks. Suspension would generally get changed once a year...though I'd have done that anyways as I couldnt make up my mind on what set-up I wanted.

Whats you zip code? can you take pics underneath? If we have enough money after bills I would send $$ for shipping.

I had one installed from Ziebart? It was a "Hidden Hitch" brand. I used it for a bike rack that installs into the hitch. It's recessed so it hard to see and has a plastic cap to keep it from corroding. It wasn't cheap though. I paid almost $300 for it.

I bought a Curt Class II hitch for the 5th Gen Maxima and bolted it on to my 4th Gen. No mods, and only $151.99 shipped from eBay. The Class II is good for 3500 pounds, and my car pulls a 18 foot bowrider with a Merc 115 with no probs at all. Of course a gen 4 is not rated at 3500 pounds, but I have 5.5 gen brakes, engine and trans.

I got a hitch on mine and love it. Also installed a "hidden hitch" on my 300z. Flip up the licence plate and boom! - 2" reciever. I had a hitch custom made.

Just an FYI for 4th Gen's. I use my class 1 hitch for carrying bicycles.

I have this one installed:

Curt Manufacturing 11772 Class I 1.25 in. Receiver Hitch

It is a great hitch, no problems installing. It is good b/c with an aftermarket muffler it is tricky to get some of those hitches that go along the whole bumper to work, this one uses the spare tire to mount between the bumper. It took less than an hour to install, although I highly recommend using a torque wrench. Took me forever to get the 7 bolts torqued. As soon as one was tight, another need tightened, over and over for 10minutes!
