quick question

quick question

okay i've been seeing my oil light coming on and off for a lil while but my motor seems fine and every since i got the car i have never been able to get a good reading on the dip stick so how much oil does a 4th gen max take

Are you talking about the blinking light jus before startup.? If so, ignore that.

If you can't read the dipstick, what are you going to do? Maybe turn the engine off first ? Wipe the stick?

For best read on the dipstick, check it before you get in the car in the morning, with the engine stone cold.

yea i know how to check it but it always reads high and i put a lil less than five quarts cause i have a oil leak and as far as the light it comes on and off while it ides and when i drive it

Change the oil pressure switch. They are known to go bad, usually they leak first.

check that wire going into the sensor mine blinked like that right before it broke off just re solder it

U prolly need to raise the vehicle. No special tools require. But im not exactly sure. Check the FSM
