Hi! I am looking for some feedback on those that have a 98 Maxima with the Stillen supercharger. Other year cars as well. I am looking for info on how your car is doing post install......what all did you do to the car in addition to the SC (ie....trans coolers, etc). Any problems with your car now, or enhancements you would recommend to make the engine last longer with the SC. Look forward to feedback..

An oil cooler is a good investment. Their under $100 from permacool.

I would say the problems most people run into with a S/C have to do soley with the trans....I haven't heard of ANYONE with engine problems because of the S/C. I know a guy who has a 95 max that's had a supercharger on it for 5 years with no problems....

SC'ed '98 SE auto...
I had my SC installed last year October. Added a B&M Supercooler tranny cooler and Don's VB Mod. Using Mobil1 synthetic engine oil as well. Only problem to date was one of the belts kept squealing during the winter months whenever I turn on the heater. I learned to let it warm up a bit first before turning the heater on.

What kind of times does your car run? 5-speed or auto? Was it a pain to install the SC?

I haven't timed mine...

If you are competent wrench head... it's not too hard. Check out the link on MaximaDriver's How2 section.. It has instructions for the old V1 Vortech... should be about the same as the new V2.
