Loss of Power

The last few months my maxima has been doing something weird. It seems just as fast in the lower gears, but when you get up to third and beyond, it loses alot of power. If i stop down the pedal in 4th or 5th, it will make this low, bogging sound and not really accelerate as fast as it used to. I used to be able to pass peope like mad, now i can't...
There are no coeds in the ECM and the fuel pump is fine.
Is this just normal old car stuff? Can I fix it?

How fast are you going in 4th or 5th while trying to get tons of power?
You need to get the RPM's up to get the VQ to roar. Down shift that bish!!!!

+1, 3k is where it's at.

But anyways, do what FallenOne suggest, cheap, quick maintenance can make a big difference. But, after all of that and still nothing? Well then do the dreaded knock sensor replacement.. (or resistor mod), then start tackling more serious things...

its probably his KS, im not sure how he pulled the codes cause its most likely ghosting.. look up removal of the KS, and if you can find it the Ohm rating that it should be giving off, ohm that sucker out and see if its bad.. if so replace as neccessary.... do the same with your coils and check your plugs... so, this is what you need to do before you come back here....

Check TB Cable for slack as well as the Inside of the TB for nastyness, clean your IACV if it hasnt been in a while, clean your MAF, EGR isnt a big deal, just emissions BS....

Than if problem isnt resolved, check your plugs, coils and KS. and if things Stilllllll arnt panning out check your crank sensors and what not...

To my knowledge isn't it true that a partially working knock sensor would still not give off a ghost code?

Nope no codes and i already did the knock sensor. Dreaded? I thought it was easy.... It never used to do it so as far as rpms and stuff go, not that either.check the TPS and vac leaks

check the TPS and vac leaks

"Big four?" Whats that?
and as for compression:Bank 1- 176, 172,178; Bank 2: 174, 191, 177
The 191??? more compression is better right?
