Quick LED Window Switch question...

I'm soldering LEDs for the window switches and my question is... How do you tell the polarity for each side??

There is a thread in the 4th gen stickies. I just did this mod and it looks awesome. The legs are 2 different lengths. i believe the long one is positive but double check just in case. and if you get it wrong just switch it. hope this helps

I know which is which on the actual LED, but it's the board I'm confused on... oh well sounds like trial and error...

PS, the stickies don't help (which is why I posted the question) as to the polarity on the boards, both of them neglected to mention it. RedMax99SEL is the only one that even mentions polarity, and all he said was the negative side is always on the left... and left is too objective for me.

[edit]

I got lucky the "R39" on the board is the negative side.

The polarity is marked on the circuit board itself, on the bottom side. They are all on one side yes, i forget which one left or right, but look on the board, it is very small but its there. And you can just test by touching the led to the two leads and if no light then reverse order and it should light. Then solder.

Indeed, thanks for offering though!

The rest of them really need a smaller tip, I'll run out to radio shack Monday to finish the job (hopefully), I was gonna have BlkonBlk98 do the rear windows but he hasn't been online recently.
