Installed aftermarket steering wheel!

So i finally got around to installing a new steering wheel and it was alot easier than i had imagined. Ilooked up old threads for tips and asked a few guys who had done it as well.

For anyone thinkin of doin it i definately recomend it. my stock one was ugly and old. This is way better!

Airbag face vs shoulderbelt bruising.... hmm flip a coin they both suck.

Nice looking steering wheel.

Not bad at all! im sure you have seen others who have made a cover for it but its not much really. And its only the bottom so its not really visable.

I recall reading an article some time ago saying that if you are over 6'3, airbags tend to make things worse in a crash. I'm currently using a momo in one of my A32's - might do the same in my other one (i'm 6'6).

I been in an accident before where the airbag deployed. Fawking thing deployed and hit me in the face...force of airbag impact was so hard i ended up hitting the back of my head against the side pillar where the seatbelts are located...freakin cracked the back of my head open.

Funny thing was the airbags deployed AFTER inital impact and not during

lol the air bag beat me up

As long as u got seat belts man, u good

I hate airbags myself. I was driving my gf's Camry, and the one time I actually wear my glasses (usually wear contacts) some lady goes through a stop sign and I t-boned her. Airbags broke my glasses on my face.

Get in a bad accident and you'll be glad you didn't get one. If anything swap a 98 max steering wheel into your 96. The look of the 98+ looks better than the aftermarket one he posted and guess what? You still have an airbag lol.

Um, not true. If your car was equipped with a factory airbag then its is required for inspection.

In Austin Yes! Not here in Bell county. They dnt even have the Emissions deal here like they do there. Many cities dnt have that program yet!
