5th gen muffler ?

5th gen muffler ?

hello...does it fit in a bone stock 4th gen maxima without any modification ? is it any better than the 4th gen one ?

nothing fits without modification exhaust wise 80% of the time imo.
yes, 1-3 hp. enjoy.

The pipe that is attached to the 5th gen muffler is too long. You will have to cut it, cut off your 4th gen muffler, and have the 5g muffler welded on to your existing pipe, so that it can bolt back on and line up with your hangars. Make sure you do a decent job of cutting it so it will line up properly. Is it worth the hassle if your 4g muffler is fine? No. Is it worth it if your 4th gen muffler needs to be replaced, and you want something that won't make your ears bleed like a T-Pain song will? Yes.

i say, you buy a muffler and go get it welded on.. IMO, 5th gen mufflers aren't that special..

OK......I might look for some Dynomax muffler,can someone please gimme a part number of a Dynomax that can bolt on my stocky 97 ?

I had a Dynomax super turbo street version. Its stock quiet, lotta flow. The other version is the sport version..its quiet w/ a lil lil lil sound, lotta flow

Edit:

Neither will bolt right on, but they are virtually the same size as the OEM muffler.
