Drivers Side Corner Not Working??

Hey org

Got a fishy little issue here.

For quite some time now, my drivers side corner light doesnt work..but the passenger one works fine.

I tried replacing the bulb...nothing
I checked the wiring and there is no visible damage to it..

What could cause this? Is there a separate fuse for the L/R corner lights or just one?

THANKS

Sounds like you might have a broken wire from switch to light. Look up FSM and check wire colors so you can trace it from light back. It's more likely to be broken up front than in dash area. Are you getting power to the socket? Inside the socket? The socket itself might have a loose connection.

With the lights on, check that socket for voltage between the positive terminal of the socket and ground. Also check for continuity from the ground terminal of the socket to a good chassis ground. I suspect you have a broken wire somewhere.

hmm i checked the wire but it doesnt appear to be corroded or broken anywhere (up until I lose it near the FW)...but nonetheless..is there a fuse within the engine bay that is for this? Thanks

OK - Have you checked for power at the socket, etc. You gotta follow a plan, not just jump around. the fuse is not possible if the other light works !! Check both inside the socket and the wires going into the socket; the socket itself may be defective - corroded inside. If you don't have power at the wires, then you can look elsewhere.

Listen man....Most likely the bulb not getting voltage. Its a silly corner light. Jus splice into the other corner light, wire up to non-working light. Voila u are done

corner light turn signal not working '96

My son just got a 96 maxima. Passenger corner light and turn signal don't work. Took bulbs out and placed them in the drivers side sockets, both bulbs worked. The lower passenger running light works, but not the top running light beside the headlight. Flasher flashes quick. All other bulbs work fine. Could it be the flasher???

Change the wire harness for that corner light. You can't get the harness by itself unless you go to the dealer or just get a used one from junkyeard or a new one and it comes with it.
