LOW IDLE

No CEL, car drives just fine. Got about 500 rpm when on "drive" with the car fully at stop- anyone got the solution besides cleaning the parts? Common sensor maybe responsible for this? Also, anybody used "consult" testing at the dealership to monitor all the sensors and how much the procedure approximately costs- thank you.

I was told not to mess with the screws on IACV because it just confuses computer and computer will compensate no matter what you do- any inputs regarding proper idle adjustment procedure? Please, share ONLY if you know exactly how to adjust, I have heard something has to be disconnected first to allow computer relearn upon completion. thanks a bunch, folks.

When my car did this it was the MAF sensor. I know somewhere on here is the thread and how to test it.

Yes, that is correct. The TPS harness connector must be disconnected before adjusting that screw. Disconnect it, use the screw to the set the idle speed to 750 RPM in Park. After adjustment, plug it back in and the ECU will relearn the idle speed.

You maybe have a problem with the vacuum hoses or you gotta change the catalytic converter.

first off, if its dirty you need to clean it.. theres no way around that.. do the big 4: IACV, TB, MAF, and EGR.

than if you still have issues you can correct it as stated above.
