A/c

my a/c doesnt really come thru on the far left and right ducts.
the middle works fine. on 1st and 2nd setting youll feel its coming thru but not with the coorect force like the center one is giving. and 3rd and 4th are basically what it should be for 1st and second on the outside ones. im thinking there a blockage problem because the center one works just fine cold and heat. Plus i dont think i have a rear defroster even tho theres a button for it.. wierd.

have your side air vents ever been removed? if so, upon re installation, the slider that allows you to close and open the vents may not be aligned correctly and the sides may be closed just a bit.

and the rear defog has a relay...maybe it went bad. or maybe your switch went bad. does your car have tints? or to your knowledge ever had tints removed? the installer may have ****ed the lines in the rear window up and if this happened, you need a new rear window to make the rear defog to work. you can test the leads on the glass for resistance w a meter.

Yeah I know mine is as well and I am glad it took me thorugh the winter except for my alternator which I blame the guy in the shop for. But yeah check the open and close position of the vents. When you press the defoger switch, does the light come on?

u get a multimeter and set it to test continuity. i believe its the top 3 lines that you test the glass lines for. i did test mine and those were the ones that sent the signal to my meter. if there is no continuity, then the circuit is broken somewhere in the glass, causing the rear defog to not work.

we dont have cabin air filters. perhaps the blower motor is bad...so your saying you can slide the **** to open and close the side vents and you can see them opening fully and closing fully?

can you change the vent/defrost/foot choices with the dash switch?

Some cars default to the center vents only when the switch goes bad, not sure on Maximas.
