Hey i know this thread has been done a million times but when i search all i get is broken links and pages. And also sorry for putting this in the 4th gen general section but i got no love on the tires section so im trying here.

SO i have these g35 18 inch 7 spokes and they rub in the back against the fender.
Currently i am on stock suspension that will shortly hopefully b replaced with h tech springs on illumina struts. (ordered and comeing in this week)


Is it possibly that now i wont rub? will i not dip as much? and what is the recommended tires for the g35's for the 4th gens?

two tires need replacing so what size should i go with?

You may have to roll your fenders. Lowering would probably make it worse.

235/40/18

Your tires must be to thick, im running 20"s with 245/35/20 tires, and no rubbing. Im also running stock suspension, and lowering will make it worse, at most upgrade the struts, but no lowering springs.

yea its only by a little bit. maybe the 235 40 18 size will solve it right now im 245 45 18

maybe, go to a tire place and ask em to test fit it.

Keep in mind that he is using G35 rims so the offset is different. Thats the reason for the rubbing on the rear. The G & 350z rear rims, even though they will fit, you'll have to either roll or trim the rear fender lips. Some people dont have to do this. But it looks like you are.

Can you please tell how you came up with that? Moving the wheels out will only allow the fender to Not rub the side of the tire, but instead rub the top of the tire. So spacers would not bet the thing to do.

235/40/18 are the same profile height as stock 16" 4 th gen tires and wheels the 245/45/18 are too tall and wide

ok solution found i went in today i got 235/40/18 and they fit great. with my drop and new suspension my car wont dip as much hopefully and i wont rub at all. worse comes to worse i guess ill roll my fenders.
