How to remove engine temp sensor?

I broke the engine temp sensor removing the front cylinder head. I can't figure out hot to get the old one disconnected from the wire harness. IT looks like you just pull, but I'm scared of breaking the harness connector. Any advice?

Thanks, Dan

if you're talking about the one that goes to the gauge cluster (the small sensor) you just pull it off. if you're talking about the larger one you just press the clip and remove it like any other connector. nothing special about either one...

Yeah it's the one that goes to the gauge, the "engine temp sensor". The other one is the coolant temp sensor. A week or so ago I broke it off at the nut. It snapped off like a freakin lego so I'm scared of pulling on it, but if it just pulls then I'll try it.

Thanks, Dan

Use a flat head screw driver, place it on the base of the plug and push up while squeezing the clip.
