While driving I can hear my passenger rear suspension squeaks constantly, and if I drive over a bump or uneven road I will hear a loud clunk. The clunk noise sounds as if the shock was moving. I did my research and the closest explanation came down to bad strut mount. As I was looking for the cost of the mount, I ran into some issues. It seems like online retailers label the bushings as the strut mount meanwhile CourtesyNissan has no pictures of it. My question is what does a real REAR strut mount look like for '95 Maxima?

 

The strut mount is just two rubber bushings. But from your post, it sounds like you have bad shocks. Do the bounce test to verify...

 

Ignore the wheel spacers

Have you inspected the strut, mount, and bushings? Pull back the trunk lining and look at the top of the mount and bushing too.
