Exhuast

So I have been having exhuast clunking problems for a while now, might be because the catback I have is custom and doesn't line up right or my rear suspension is somehow out of place. Searching local adds on kijiji and found myself a Greddy SP2 catback for $40. Went to check it out and its mint other than some dust. Pics to come soon, install and update if still clunking to come next week!

You mean Exhaust? Is it a slip fit?

right after where the resonator is or used to be if it isint stock. there is a bar that goes underneath the exhaust pipe right there the hanger tends to break off and gave u that banging noise. when you start it shut it off accelerate or hit a bump the dam thing bounces off that bar.

No the banging noise is from a badly built catback, the U part that goes over the rear beam isn't right over the rear beam so when the shock compresses the rear beam hits the exhaust.

Slip fit is when one pipe slide into the expanded end of another pipe/section, usually using u clamps or SS band clamps to secure.

Yea the custom was slip fit, but it was welded where it was fitted on, but that exhaust may be going to the junk unless someone on the org. wants it for 40$ plus shipping

So I got the Greddy on, and there is still clunking, now my buddy who put it on told me it sounds like a bad strut mount on the rear right, could a bad strut mount cause clunking almost?
