Turn Signal Mod Question

hello everybody. wondering if there is a website which explains how to make the turn signal and corner light to flash like this:

*picture from custommaxima.com*

also, i'm rewiring my fog lights to be on with my parking lights. if the corner light flashes like in the picture, would that make the fog lights flash as well? i wouldn't want that to happen.

Yes there is....go to Maximadriver.com and take a look at the "How2" section. It'll walk you through it.....relatively simple mod to do

Success!

I only had enough wire taps to do one side, so i did the driver side corners. followed the diagram and was finally able to rewire my blinkers. i must say, it looks better than the original. gotta love these small inexpensive mods...

FYI

If you've rewired your Corners (make em brighter) as well you may or may not experience a blown fuse. Don't panic, just up the fuse to I believe it was ten and problem fixed. Run a search on "corner lights" and Im sure you'll find the exact remedy for this.

Whats a wire tap? Does it just mean to splice the wires together?

without lights on, both the turn signals and corner lights will blink together when the hazard button is pressed. if you have your lights on and press the hazard button, it will look like the image i posted in this thread.

Basically, yes.

A wiretap is a little thingie that does the splicing for you. But you could also do it the old-fashioned way by cutting the wires and splicing them together.

You can find wiretaps at a hardware store or at Home Depot. Should be relatively cheap for a handful of them.

yea thats it. Try "Corners out" or "blown fuse" or "parking lights out" with the search option here, you'll have to do a little diggin to get what your want, hopefully you won't need it, but if your fuse should blow, try search'n for this remedy.

Or for a little preventive maintenence just replace the fuse now with a bigger one. Fuses are cheap and come in handy, just keep the extra ones in your glove box. Plus it only takes a minute to relpace it.

Right. The fuse panel below left of the steering column - can be removed to expose the fuse bank. Refer to your owners manual for the specific fuses you'll need to swap.

I did this mod today on my lunch break here at work. Takes like 5 minutes a light and the best part is it doesnt cost anything. I recommend this mod just cause it looks cool. Once my clears come in it will look even better though.

Thanks for the tip guys.

bulbs?

2 things...

1 - just curious, you guys use yellow bulbs in the markerr and blinker or both one of those hyper Xenons or whatever they are now?
I have a Xenon in the sidemarker, but I still blink yellow. It will look weird once I do the mod

2 - When you cut the ground from the marker and splice it to the + of the blinker, just to understand correctly, you cut the ground in two, completely or just "splice" it and run a new wire from the ground to the +? I am not too hot on electronics.
If it us cut completely, I guess one of the wires will be taped up and juct dangling there inside.

Correct me if I am wrong.

thanks
