Neighbor's Maxima Cutting Off

Neighbor's Maxima Cutting Off
My neighbor has a '95 Maxima GXE(?) and aske me for some advice since I have a '98 GXE. When she drives the car for a while (generally long enought to warm the engine up), it will cut of when she slows down or comes to a complete stop. She's checked the alternator and starter (supposedly) and was told both are fine. She says she has taken it to several mechanics (probably the local shadetree mechanics) and they have no idea as to what the problem is. I suggested that she take it to the local Autozone or Advanced Auto to get the codes read, but her car has ODB I so they can't read them.
Any suggestions as to what may be causing her problem?? I'll post more info on the problem & what she has had changed/checked on the car after I see her again (we work alternate shifts, so I may not see her until this coming weekend).

I have a 95 GXE and the connector is there. You tell those fools to give you the scanner and open the passenger side door and look at the bottom of the center console. You will see the white connector there.

I think your ECTS is not reading right causing the car to shut off. check the codes and get back with us. To really make sure that it's your ECTS try starting it up when it's cold, let it reach normal temps than let see if it cuts off or it will idle very low or shut down. If it turns off, try starting it back up immediatey and it should run for about for 2min or so. If it's running and It's not cutting off,try to turn it off than try to turn it back on and it should run for a couple of mins reach a certain temp then it cuts out. ECTS.
