I have a 99 SE-L cali-spec that I have put a fed- spec manifold and o2 simulators for the extra o2's. Every since the conversion I have had a random problem with the car not wanting to go over 2800 rpm's. It is like I am on the rev limiter when it happens. Once I cut the car off and restart it, everything is fine. There is no SEL light on or anything, I'm not sure the problem is affiliated with the mod or not... Help please!

 

Sorry for the obvious, but it sounds like a MAF to me.

 

I concur, sounds like MAF.

 

i had the same prob. after i re did my intake i also got told it was the maf..i check the maf readings they were fine, but it ended up being a ground point that got moved that on some starts and put me into safe mode (limp mode)
so check all the wires around the area that you workt on
