their "lifetime" warranty is a "prorated" warranty. Something about the lifetime of the shock being in the range of 50,000 miles (? not sure on that number). Much past that, the shock doesn't owe you a thing. It's only designed to last that long.

Hmmmmmm so lifetime of the shock, not the car? says I

YEP said the rep.

Damn said I. Guess I will purhcase some of the competitions shocks/struts then. they were cheaper.
