oil . . . . coolant. . . no heat . . Not BHG?

So My maxima started to miss and not have heat so i pulled the plugs.

1# Oil ALL over 4 of 6 of them and in the plug valleys.

#2 No heat..Engine is heating to a good middle of the gauge temperature..But no heat.I'll be swapping a Thermostat tonight.

#3 No white/blue smoke.

#4 Does have yellow/milky residue in the oil cap and air intake box where the hose comes off of the valve cover.

#5 No trouble codes.

#6 Leak down/Compression test says:
180 psi on five of six cylinders, the last one had 150 psi.

Worse case senerio is that I have a BHG, Best is that I have a leaking valve cover gasket.

Any ideas.

~I'll post pics tonight.

The oil on your plugs is caused by leaking seals in your valve covers.
The no heat condition might be the water control valve or just a plugged heater core.
If your engine is running at the correct temp, (as you stated) leave the thermostat alone!
Do change the oil, the milky substance your seeing is moisture in your crankcase. That can be caused by a number of things, one being lots of short trips never letting the engine run at operating temp for long periods of time. Even though your temp gauge comes up to normal, it take much longer for the oil to heat up HOT enough to burn off any moisture that can accumulate over time. Change the oil, and take the car on a trip. The milky residue should be gone.

Agree with NJ,

Thermo prolly fine if no faulty temperature readings.

Definitely replace Valve cover gaskets. Good time to clean insides of intake manifold. Replace KS if necessary and all worn clamps under UIM.

Milky residue??? Might be evaporated coolant

Def change oil. Might wanna change it twice jus to make sure u got all the residue out

Got her fixed tonight.

The miss was two bad coils.
The no heat was that the radiator was leaking, new rad = heat.
Did the Valve cover gasket..Those are some hard mother effers to r & r.

Big disaster fixed with $120 autozone parts, whoo- Yoo !
