Need to borrow a catalytic converter

Need to borrow a catalytic converter

Need to smog my car and my hi-flow cat doesn't work good enough. I need to borrow a cali spec CAT. The same cat is used from 1995-2001 maxima's.

Anyone? need so smog asap, thanks

ummm,no. just buy it used, im sure someone has one for sale. plus, a 95 is different as it has a bung hole in the cat for the 02.

He's right, have one on hand and not ever worry about it again.

If it has to be Cali spec ... g'luck from what I see. I wonder what the huge difference is. Most of the CATs I saw in a quick search were legal in 49 states - NOT CALI. Seems odd that some things that burn are leagal there, just not exahust fumes I guess.

Yah, it has to be cali spec. It's Freaken 400 bones for a cali spec converter. I actually found a couple of places that actually sell it.

I don't blame you for wanting to borrow one .... not in the least! Perhaps the stock Y with the pre-cats might be enough???? Worth a try I guess. That shouldn't be that hard to get a hold of! Certainly not $400 hard!

Max .... lol I guess you understood what else it is that might produce a fragrent armoa. lol Something tells me that would not help pass smog though ... but you might not care afterwards either!
