From what I've read on some other threads, I think this is a bad starter, but not entirely sure. I have a 1998 Max with 117,000 miles, and yesterday it wouldn't start. Checked the battery and its still fine and terminals clean, but when I turn the ignition I simply get a click, without the engine turning over at all. If this is the starter is it easy to replace yourself? Thanks!

 

Very easy to replace my friend even if you are not a mechanic. Don't waste your money on labor for that. Yes, replace the starter.
