digital climate lights not working after removal

my car's digital climate control lights (the auto, econ, and off) buttons have stopped lighting up today...the other ones (temp, fan speed and recirc) still light up. this was after i removed the top vents to clean the inside of the vents.

is there a reason, or a fix to this? im sure the bulbs arent blown, they were just working last night...and ever since the vents have been removed this afternoon, the lights stopped working. all the harnesses are connected btw...

Replace the bulb behind the button (P/N 28529-0P000). Not cheap though...

Give 'em a light thud, before actually investing any money into it.

Take out the bulbs and check the filament. I find they are easily damaged from disassembling the console. That's actually exactly how mine went out.

Tapping works sometimes..

yeah, cheap nissan bulbs and the dlr charges like 10/each..
you can use some radio shack replacement bulbs, not as bright, but does the job and lasts longer

You need the #7219 12v/60ma lamps from Radioshack. Also, you'll need to find a way to secure the blue condom holders on them or get smaller ones to fit over the smaller bulbs.

I just stretched the blue condom over the base/lip of the plastic bulb holder..
but like i said, the bulbs won't be as bright as the OEM ones, but last way longer and cost less to replace... basically you will have to undo the old bulbs from the holder and fit the new bulb, bend the legs and snip off excess(with clippers, wire cutters...)

these are the bulbs:

no, it was cake. actually, i did more work than required...i didnt see the blue bulb holders on the bottom of the climate control, so i removed the covers and all...then said to myself "oh" when i saw the extra work i did for nothing lol.

but they are just a slight bit dimmer than stock, but nothing that bothers me. i do tho need to switch the ones out of my hazard, and rear defog buttons...but its a huge p.i.t.a. to take them out of the bezel! any tips on that for me? lol

i did my hazard/rear defrost as well..
it jsut takes time to pry apart the unit..

*** take reference pictures as you take it apart to remember how everything goes***

just go slowly, i find using 2 knife/butter knives/thin flathear screwdrivers to pry open the switch helps a lot..

you will be wrapping the legs of the bulbs around a rubber base instead.. to make the wraps/bends tight, but not too tight to rip thru the rubber holder/base...
