Sorry to hear that, man. Glad you're OK. From my own experience, I'd say your car is definitely totaled, mostly because the airbags deployed. All told, both airbags are about $2k to replace (by insurance estimates). They'll value your car at maybe 4k, which means anything over 3k in damage (75% of the value of the car) is totaled, so that's another grand for all of the parts you broke including paint work.

I totaled a more valuable car about a year and a half ago in a similar way, and all that broke in my wreck were the hood, both headlights, bumper cover, and maybe the radiator (heard it hissing, insurance never really checked it out). Airbags did not go off as my collision happened at a speed of roughly 5 MPH.

Whether they pay you for it or not, if you have the time and the place for it, your best bet is to keep/buy back the car and part it out on the org. If you try to keep it and fix it after insurance totals it, it will always have a salvage title, so you can't resell it for jack, and it will probably always feel like a wrecked piece of junk to you from that point on. Part out and move on. Good luck.

So the car is coming along pretty nice. Thankfully the frame is was not bent so this is going to be a quick fix and the guy that's fixing it said that the radiator support is not that damaged so he's going to just straighten it back instead of changing it.

Here are updated pics

Nah its a different hood. Its just dirty, it had a hood cover on it and dirt just built up under it but a good wash and wax and we will be good to go.
