I totaled my 98 Nissan MAxima GLE

I just totaled my Nissan Maxima now i'm driving my old 92 Nissan SEV6 truck. now, waiting for the insurance money; they are giving me $13,500. So i'm going to buy a S2000 with all the money i saved up. Should i get a S2000 or wait til the 350Z comes out?

I'm sorry to seem like a vulture, but I have the same question as above.

I desperately need you're transmission if you plan on parting it out at all? It would be such a huge help! What color interior do you have as well?

How'd it happen?

If insurance pays out, THEY OWN THE CAR. EVERY PART.

I don't know how many times I've seen this topic come up on the boards.

The way insurance works:

You file a claim
If the car is deemed totalled, the insurance company cuts you a check.
Once this occurs, THEY own the car - every single part!

In rare instances, some insurance Co's will let you buy the totalled car back at a reduced junk/salvage rate.

Unless you strip your mods before the insurance adjuster sees the car/takes it away, once that transaction is done, you no longer reserve the right to "part-pluck" the car.
