HELP- Cooling Fan Stopped Working
Last week on the HOTTEST week of the year my cooling fan suddenly stopped working, and it appeared that my car would overheat. Has this happened to anyone before ? How can I tell if I just need to replace the relays , fan motor, or the complete fan ?
Swap the relay with another one thats in the fuse box. Can you spin the fan freely by hand or is it stiff??
did it appear to overheat while idling or driving? take the connector to the fan(s) and apply power to it, ruling out the fan itself (motor). if it works, test the harness for power, should be around the bat's voltage.
one easier way to rule out the faulty fan: turn your a/c on and it should come on (assuming you have a proper charge).

Check the fusible link box next to the battery. The fan relays have 2 fusible links. One feeds fan relay 1 for low speed while the other feeds fan relays 2 & 3 for high speed. You will visually see if those 30A fusible links have melted or not.
If fan work, test grounds, connectors, continumty from fan to relay, check relay.

Yeah but that couyld be a bust fan OR busted relay. THats why i sd to test fan first to see if that broken. Jus remove the connector on the fan, and apply battery voltage. BE careful not to cut yur hands off.
Or test relays first. Its up to u man.
