Car wont start when cold, please help!

OK, so, my car wont turn over when its cold out. It does the "err err err" thing without turning over. The battery is fine, its brand new. All I can do to get it started is pump on the gas. Then it shoots out a puff of smoke on me. When its warmed up, it starts fine, when the weather is warmer, its fine, but being all cold, I got nothing. All I can do is pump the gas to get it going. Once then, it runs fine, nothing Ill at all. So, what could it be? Bad starter? Low OIL pressure, low GAS pressure? Something else? If so, what can I do to fix this, without taking it in to a dealer to get it fixed, cause I dont really feel like paying them for it, unless I have to. The check engine light isnt on, so I dont know whats up. Please tell me what I can do to get this thing to start right. Remember, it wants to start, it just wont turn over. And the oil light kinda blinks at me when I start pumping the gas too if that means anything. And, Im not a car expert, so please leave detailed steps of what I can do please. Thanks for your info and help, I appreciate it big time!!

*EDIT*

If it helps,mines a 95 Auto!

I had similar problem...

My car would stall out when I would start it only when it was cold. I took it to the dealer, they cleaned the carbon out of my engine, and it works fine now.

if ur problem is ur max starting then stalling when cold then u have a proble w/ ur aic valve--if ur problem is just long cranks then it starts then there is a bulletin on that problem--i'm not too familiar w/ that on. it has to do w/ grounds between eng & transmission--good luck--but i know for a fact that an aic vlave w/ fix ur starting & stalling problem
