which drier, guys?
which drier, guys?
hey, all!
last night i was changing the compressor (92600-0L701, the car was manufactured on 2/97) and the freaking drier rockauto sent me did not fit the lines (too small). On their web-site it said to 5/97, but clearly that's not the case. The part was: SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # 0233597. The other one they list on there is FOUR SEASONS Part # 33597, but it doesn't list the dates.
Does anyone know which drier i need?
Thank you, guys!

I am encountering this problem, as well. My local Nissan dealer is charging about $130 for this part, and I see courtesy parts is charging $88. Courtesy has 3 different part number, my dealer has 5 different ones and recommends looking it up by VIN.
I have bought 4 of these so far, and I've had to return each one. Both of the rock auto ones have had ports that were too small. I also tried one for a 94-96, and it was too small as well. The only one that I have gotten that had large enough ports on it was for a 97, but the pad/port layout was totally wrong. I did try to make it work, but to no avail.
My 96 has the pads that are laid out like this: ( / . \ )
The 97's are laid out like this: ( .//)
Horrible diagram I know, but it shows the general angles.
This part has become my nemesis. I'm even contemplating sealing the port and taking a reamer to it. There's no way I'm paying over a hundred dollars for a part that should cost no more than 30.
