FINALLY got my HKS carbon titanium exhaust on my MAX!!!!

Hey guys....

I uped the boost in my 99 Max from 6psi to 14psi... So i upgraded the exhaust to 3"... but with a small twist.... im running my exhaust under my rear axle, to reduce bends... So I choose the HKS carbon titanium exhaust.. now i did have to put a small flat sport under the rear axle and im also running a gutted Cat with no rez either. The car is still in the baby stages of tunning... so i cant open her up yet, to hear it... but i will post some audio clips when i can...

What a coincidence, I was just looking at your car on YouTube.

That's an interesting set up, but won't the exhaust bang against the axle on dips and bumps? It looks great, but sticks out a little too much for my liking.

this has come to my mind a few times, but i was thinking of making it straight to the back and when it came to the first bend i would go under the axle and bend it toward the bumper hole and eliminated the "S" bends. but none the less it came out good...

if you look at the last pic you can see the car in the air and that the exhaust pipe and axle dont hit. which i find it kinda hard to believe on how the suspension travel isnt much since my suspension is has a lot more travel when i lift the rear. then again i have springs and this car is on coilovers, if that even makes a differance.

it does look like its too the left a bit, if it was turned to the right it would look perfect.

Just to clarify for those who don't know, only the canister is titanium, the rest is stainless steel. However, it appears after the muffler, it's all custom piping anyway..

Carry on...

Looks good Keem. Good job.

I'd center it, make the exhaust cutout a hair bigger to accommodate the huge tip, and push it up and in a little. Almost perfect. Just some food for thought.

looks pretty nice! your tucken a lot of wheel there too!

i always wondered if you could go under the cross member like that! now we all know! and with 3" exhaust too!

on things id suggest is a +1 on wizards statement, tuck it in a bit center it up... and paint the wheels... the bronze kinda clashes with the sterling mist too me!

oh, and pm'd with a question!
