So i have a problem with my resonator pipe ( b-pipe) and not sure what to do . I drive a 99 cali spec so when i went to the nissan dealer and asked him for the b pipe he quoted me $380 , and i think that's way too much, called dave b and he can get it shipped for around $290 , anyways my question is can i do anything else besides wasting $300 for a stock b pipe that will not give me any power? I have a warpspeed y pipe and a stock 5 gen muffler, should i just cut out the resonator ? or is there a cheaper aftermarket i can buy ? please help im really trying to do this right , Thx

some b-pipe is longer than oem one and suppose to connect to cat directly, and do not provide hole for oxygen sensor(I think that is for 95,96 but they claim to fit on 97,98,99), make sure you get the right one,
btw, you have no problem with nj inspection with warpspeed y-pipe?

I have a Walker B pipe/resonator, as far as I'm concerned it's just like OEM for fit and quality. At that price you can't go wrong.

I have no experince with the walker b-pipe but I just installed a bosal catback with the warspeed y-pipe and maganaflow high flow CAT and it sounds nice. Bosal makes direct OE replacement parts for Nissan.
The bosal b-pipe #286159 cost $115 at rockauto and this extended pipe comes with the O2 sensor bung.

I replaced my 97 Maxima resonator with a straight pipe at a local mom and pop muffler shop. $40. Doing so has no negative effect on the emission, in case you're concerned.

rock auto is showing that Walker #56039 is not compatible but people above are recommending it...?

it's showing 56000 as compatible though. I have a 97 maxima.

Whats the difference between these two parts and which one do I get?

They still sell both parts...and the car hasn't changed...so their shouldn't be compatibility issues....

if you re-read the original post, it was for a 99 CALI spec. You have a 97. the pipe for the 99 cali spec is probably not the same.

..aaaaand...

That may be another reason.

You're welcome
