The skyline tail lights look

I want to hear some opinions on the skyline tail lights, I really kinda like them, but am also a big fan of plane white and red tails... I am scared my maxima might look too riced out with the skyline tails, what do you all think about them, Rice? or Legit?

Depends, certain gens of the altezzas are ugly as sin.

IMO if I had to rock an altezza it'd be the LED ones because they look the most like skyline tails (@ Night only though lol)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSA...ht_4514wt_1165

I'd crack those open and do some work here and there....

or these...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-98...Q5fAccessories

The above two are the least ugliest.

Again if I had it my way I'd just say stay stock... But hey your car.

The GenII LED altezza's are the best looking IMO, but I don't like how they pop out.

well im with aackshun on this one... gen II and the ebay ones are the only ones worth it. someone on here has the gen II's with the insides painted black and the reflector removed, and the outside tinted. looks pretty sick! and here is a link to my cardomain, my first max had those exact ebay tails... they look pretty solid black and i think would look hella nice on a black max! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3854422/3

The Skyline rears only look good at night. In the daytime you can see the seam between the trunk lid and filler panel. It looks poorly executed and out of place.

Skyline is only good at night. I vote you get these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-...ht_4781wt_1165

and spray paint the insides black. Itll look nicer all around.

No, they're not the same.

First and foremost,
95/96 red is on the bottom of the tail light
97-99 red is on the top of the tail light

The outer tails will fit but the inner ones attached to the trunk lid will not..

So in most ppls opinion the skylines only look good at night... so Ima just stick with my stock tails with the yellow removed. Maybe when I save up enough Ill pick up a pair of skylines and paint em black, and switch off from day and night lol. And yea 95 tails are a bit different than 97+ ones I dont think the inside lights will fit.

The only ones that actually look good and not ricey are the ones in the pictures provided, and baking them open and painting the inside to match the color of your car, leaving just the l.e.d. ring.

And maximaspd85, you talking about this guy?

Yeah I know what you mean. Well for me and my i30 the stock tails are getting old for me, I've had them for 4 years when I got my car. I wish there were more tail light options for me, I dont like the cefiro tails theyre pretty much the same $h1t.

Man believe me I understand, but why not make your own like plenty of others did (including myself) and LED them to your liking, then they'll be "new" and original.

How to you put totally different tails on the i30? Obviously you gotta do some cutting right? I would pay big money to change my tails if its possible.

97-99s have a few more options than the 95-96 do in my opinion. I vote for custom LEDs which allow you to have quite a few different patterns OR red/whites or simply stay stock until you can get one of those two.

I like the way the LED skylines look at night but thats it. I cant stand that they are not flat and have that part all sticking out.

Yeah I think skyline taillights belong on only skylines. I just realized that the Chevy Cobalts have very similar taillights too.

But I think it looks pretty nice. But a lot of modding and custom work needs to be done if you want to go all out.
