Another question on Fuel Pressure regulator -Semi Urgent.

Hi,

I replaced my FPR and noticed when I started the car it leaks. I tried to tighten the screw as hard as I can but those round screws makes it extremely hard to tighten...

Q1. Should there be a gasket between the FPR and the engine? The FSM doesn't show it at all, and when I took it off it wasn't there either.

Q2. What size of screw can I replace it with? (Sorry I'm at work and don't have the screws in front of me, and I want to buy them at lunch time). I want to run down to the hardware store and get a more gripable screw.

Thanks
-Julius

There should be an oring that you put on the fpr before installing it.

I replaced the nissan screws with a same size bolt but I can't for the life of me find the post I had on here where I said the size that worked.

I brought one of the screws over to Home Depot and matched it up.

There is an o-ring gasket there..if yours is missing, hence the leak.

As for the bolts, I wish I could help you there but I took mine to the dealer and they didn't have the exact ones so the guy gave me a good replacement...no charge since I am there so often
