Im in a process of buying led 5mm bulbs for my interior work I wanna do. Now I would like to know if it will be ok to use 5mm with 17000mcd???? I know its really bright just wanna make sure it wouldn't matter if its to bright or not.

 

That should be fine, but try to go with 3mm. I had a tough time squeezing 5mm bulbs into the dimmer and cruise control.

 

I figure I would purchase either 3mm or 5mm. Im doing climate control, switches, and gauges and needles. Hazard button basically almost everything I guess I would use 3mm for all of them.

 

thats a cool mod. what color LED. Blue or RED?

 

I was thinking of doing white??? What ya'll think? I seen a few picture with white leds for the gauges and cc but not the window switches

17000mcd should be fine, its pretty bright though, I have a different range of 3mm/5mm on my interior, just check out my cardomain page below.

 

I would highly recommend something with a lower mcd rating. I just finished most of my led interior modding with 10k mcd leds and they are a bit bright at night. 5k would be much better. The ones on the window switches and climate control are way too bright at night for my taste. I like the look of the blue instead of the green, but I wish I had the same intensity as the original. Just my 2 cents...
