Strange O2 issue
Strange O2 issue
about a week ago i got a code for both upstream O2 sensors (P0130 and P0150). I order a bosch OE sensor for bank 2 and got an oem bank one sensor from a reliable seller on the org.
Replaced both O2 sensors and reset the ecu Via OBD2 scanner. Went for a drive and the codes still appeared for both banks. Reset via Unplugging the battery. Codes still appeared.
The O2 sensor fuse is in good btw.
Any suggestions:?

Hey guys, first post after lurking for years, hope it helps. I just did a swap out of all three O2s and had an issue much like yours. I first tried the manual method of reseting the code but the light would always come back with in one or two test starts. I was able to get a code scanner and clear it. Again it would pop back on with one or two test starts.
Upon close inspection of the socket on the end of the o2 sensor I noticed that the three little prongs inside were slightly bent to the left and were not going into the corresponding three holes in the female socket. I gently moved them to a straighter angle and plugged it back in. Read the code, cleared the code and have been driving for 80 some odd miles without it returning.
Just something to check.

Prongs/Pins that physically make the connection inside the harness. The pins were bent so when he plugged the o2 sensor harness, it clipped together but contact was not made due to bent pins/prongs. Hope that explains more about the prongs inside
ah okay yeah ill check it today...found out i had an exhaust leak from the header to y pipe flange so picked up some gaskets and maybe thatll stop the O2s from getting incorrect readings...but the funny thing is the car isnt running in open loop like it would normally with bad O2s... My Can OBD2 said my car is running in closed loop...
