car doesnt start sometimes

Well, this has been a problem for a while now. If the car has been resting for a while, and if I try to start the car, nothing happens, no cranking nothing. If I leave the key in the on position for about 5 seconds, and then I try to start, it starts up just fine without any hesitation. After researching a little, I think it's either the fuel pump problem or fuel injectors. I'm just not sure which one is a more likely cause. I did install a new fuel filter recently, but that didn't help. Please advise, thanks.

I don't think fuel is your problem... If your fuel pump was out, the car would still turn over. I would look into the ignition itself. Good Luck!

This is either an ignition switch problem or a grounding problem... Also, have you tried starting the car in Neutral??
