After my classes today at school, I went to my car as usual, and headed home. As I was driving I noticed a strange noise. I had no idea what it was. I even got out a few times to check out what it was. At first I thought it was something in my trunk rattling around, then I thought it was my antenna, which is kind of loose. So, I got back in, and drove some more. I started to notice that my passenger side rear wheel seem to be wobbling. I got out once more, and found out that there was one lug nut missing. Furthermore, the other lug nuts were quite loose. I'm pretty sure someone tried to jack my rims. I have an 18" rims, still not sure which brand, but ones with the 16 spokes. The four lug nuts were regular lug nuts, but I also have a wheel lock lug nut on it. I guess whoever tried to steal my rims was trying to get the lug nuts off until he/she found out that there was a wheel lock. I'm sure someone tried to steal my rims. This morning when I went to school, I still had all the lug nuts on, and there was no wobbling at all. Also, my rims seem to be scratched up as well. I'm not surprised at people trying to steal stuff at my school. A month ago, someone stole some indiglo emblems off my sister's car. Damn these people! Get a job, or something, and BUY your own damn stuff. I can't stand losers like these. Hm...I thought I was paranoid when seem like everytime I drove around school, people were checking out my rims. I'm sure most of them were just admiring them, but I never guess that someone was actually going to try to steal them. Guess I was lucky.

Inspect the hub and studs>>>
It might be a good idea to replace a couple of them if your wheels were loose enough to 'wooble'. Should be relative cheap to replace... good insurance.

Someone stole my foglights at school
This was last year way before I got into modding my car.

I got some cheap aftermarket foglights and only had them for about a month. Came out from class and pulled out the parking spot and someone noticed I had wires hanging out of my bumper. I got out... and no foglights. They were taped and drilled into my bumper and they just ripped them out.

I was so pissed off cause it was a Friday before spring break and I was all excited that I was going to be spending a week in SF and some @$$hole had to go and steal my foglights.

clee130: a similiar thing happened to my friend. Someone tried to steal my friend's foglights from his GSR. I guess whoever it was couldn't get them off, and/or in a hurry. So, since he/she can't get them off, he/she just smash the foglights up.

yeah, very sorry to hear it man
i hate friggin thieves!!! Last year I was awakened on my day off by pounding on my front door. I screamed "go away!!" to no avail....finally I answered and it was my downstairs neighbor. She was talking some gibberish about my car so I looked out and saw that my 2 c-2's were gone from my passenger side and it was on blocks. so I'm like WTF?!?!??!?!!! Went outside to check for other damage....they apparently the dirty thieves did not get into the car but were able to get past my wheel locks. I figure someone drove in or something scared them off. I called the cops and they were not very sympathetic. Insurance reimbursed me the price of 2 stock rims which was a substantial amount....I sold my other 2 rims and am back stock for now....probbly go with 18' c-5's after winter.

It's amazing
what people will do just to steal stuff from your car. It's even more amazing when they do it in broad daylight or in front of your house.

One night around 3 or 4 in the morning, we heard my dad's Pathfinder alarm go off. I woke up and looked outside. Couldn't see anything cause it was kinda dark in my driveway and I was still groggy.

My dad got up and got his keys and turned off the alarm. He opened the door and saw someone running away from the car. The friggin punk was hiding under the car when the alarm went off! My dad decided not to chase him.

The guy only broke the passenger side window and stole my dad's cellphone. The only time he forgot to take it out and someone steals it.

One of my friends at school has a MX-6 and just bought new aftermarket fogs and a few days later some a$$hole kicked both of the lenses in. We also had 2 cars that got there stereo's stolen and the robbers were never caught even though we have security cameras in the parking lot. I too hate people thats steal stuff.

Better yet...
My stepmother has a Suburu Legacy 2.5GT.

One day she was in Toronto for business and someone broke off her rainguard broke into her car and stole....

HER BAG OF SPARE CHANGE.

Not the $400 radar detector in the glove box, $100 cell phone or $12,000 car! About $5 in change.

Some people....

( cost her $150 to get the rainguard replaced. )

Someone attempted to steal 17' Chrome rims off my friends 626 last year...
It was parked right in front of his house and it was like 2 in the mourning, but his father drives a limo and just happened to be on his way home at the time they were taking the rims off. they didn't get scared as he was pulling in the driveway, He came up to the 2 guys and asked them what happened, one of them said they got a flat... he came in the house, called the cops... then came back out and asked them if they needed any help!!! Damn, such idiots, I was laughing my *** off when I heard about this, my friend was asleep all while this was going on, if he would have seen this going on, I pity them foo's

That sucks!!
I'm sorry to hear about what happened Cumalot (and everyone else!!).

Just to make sure though, It's important to have 2 wheel locks on each wheel. One will do you no good because they can take off all 4 and then just wobble the wheel enough to break off the last stud. 2 wheel locks per wheel will prevent this from happening.

Two wheel locks per wheel? Hm...that's a good idea.

Damn that must be a pain in the ***,
when you have to change your tire {if you got a flat or something}you got to try each one out until you get the right key for each one haha.

NYCEMAXIMA did the cops catch the 2 punks trying to steal your friends rims or not? you left me hanging.

Re: Damn that must be a pain in the ***,
either engrave the lugs/locks or put a dab of paint on one set so you'll know.
