Poke, Poke...

Just have to keep taunting you guys as we get closer and closer to having the exhaust ready. This is just a prototype, but is representative of what the final Maxima product will look like. We just need to finish our road testing, and we'll let you know what it will cost...

www.budgetexhaust.com

in the Maxima Parts section, follow the link at the top of the Maxima page.

Thanks, Dave.

It's not, I just work with Jeff on the concept and marketting side of things. ie: I come up with good idea's (Maxima Y-pipe and so on) and then tell people all about it.

I also handle sourcing all the 'test fitting' vehicles.

I still have Of Sound Mind for all the Car Audio buffs out there.

And I am still the Audio Editor for Performance Auto and Sound magazine out of Toronto...

I am a busy man...

I like the look of the tip, pretty understated. No 5" cannon tip, this is good. Is the muffler a straight-through design or a little quieter?

I can see if we can make up one with a 5-inch tip, although it will have to likely hang lower on the car... If you want to pay, we can play.

Currently, the plan is for a straight-through muffler. we still have to do some on-car noise level testing, but if it's anything like the one on my WRX, it will be surprisingly quiet...

Nice. I dont want the sound to be overbearing and end up taking anything away from the car.

Take the Apex'i N1 with the 5 inch tip and bend it so it comes out at an angle like they do and that would be the awesome like all those supras do how it comes out crooked you know?

We are going to be doing the on car testing this week, to fine tune the hanger placement, and check to make sure it isn't too loud. The system on my WRX is barely louder than stock, so we are hoping for the same from this one.

I'll let you all know how it's going...

Hey, the Muffler looks sweet. One question: will the welds be filed and sanded down to be flush with the muffler body in the final version?

Also, will this be sold in a catback package?

RL

PS- I'm very excited...

We weren't actually planning to do much witht he welds, since they will be the strongest if left in this condition.

I will play with the griding wheel on a couple of them and see how it goes, but my guess is that you are looking at pretty much the final version.

A little different than the rest....

We can look at a larger tip, but that one fits the car nicely and isn't too 'oversized'.

You have to remember the muffler can is enormous, larger than almost any other one on the market... So the tip looks smaller in comparison....

There are two F-pipes in stock, I saw them last night. Unless they were already sold, they should be able to ship it out next day.

Call them.. 905-681-4579
