Well, if you really "lovethemax" and actually want it to run, you better get used to premium.

But, Max has the ability to run on regular (at lower horsepower). does it cause any harm ???

No, but performance and fuel mileage suffer dramatically if you drive hard. Unless you drive like grandma, it's almost as cost efficient to use premium. I've taken mileage samples driving moderately hard, and I can get almost 3 more mpg out of premium under the same driving conditions, so using premium costs like 1/2 cent more per mile. If I do drive like grandma, accelerating slowly and cruising at no more than 70, I can save money with 87, but once my snows are off, I won't be able to restrain myself and back to premium I go

I tried regular cause the place I was at was so expensive. My car didn't have the normal feel, so since then I've only used premium.

You can feel a power difference on normal gas.

FYI GO WITH PREMIUM, FILL UP ON THE SPECIALS. TEXACO USUALLY HAS A SPECIAL ON PREMIUM AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. OH AND REPLACE YOUR FUEL FILTER. I USUALLY REPLACE MINE EVERY 8,000 MILES REGARDLESS (NISSAN BRAND), SIMPLY BECAUSE SOME OF THESE SERVICE STATIONS DON'T CHANGE THEIR INLINE FUEL FILTERS (ALL KINDS OF GARBAGE MIXED IN THE GAS). NEXT TIME YOU FILL UP LOOK AT THE "PUMP/HANDLE CONDITION" FOR STARTERS. KEEP THEM FUEL INJECTORS CLEAN!
