I did very well with an Exedy stage 1 off of ebay. $125 to my door a few years ago.

Call Dave B at Southpoint Nissan...he will hook you up if you mention you are from the .org. And I'd recommend the 5th gen clutch.

Agreed. Courtesy has a great discount, but DaveB matches or exceeds it for org members. Plus, one parts order from him is all it takes to be reminded what customer service is actually supposed to be.

Daves price isnt really great i mean its ok. Lol save like maybe 10-15 bucks vs. Courtesy. I am actually trying to figure out what to get this week as we speak, Not buying any junk other then something trusted. Exedy makes oem clutches I heard so I may go with them or just good ol nissan, u really cant go wrong with pure OE, it blows my mind that ppl buy such garbage brands and dont really get that they really are pieaces of crap and cheap for a reason. Unless you are going stage 1+ i wouldn't get anything else then exedy or nissan. Btw gen 5 clutch kits are like $230-250(depending on where, and gen4 iirc are a little less then $190 @ nissan. This of course is the TO, pilot, pressure and clutch disc.

Because it is a little more durable and was designed to hold more power (190hp vs 222hp). And the price difference is minimal, $20-30 IIRC.

Basically if you have a few bolt-ons, I'd recommend the 5th gen clutch. I have it and its been holding up without issues for +/-15K miles.

Come on, Its not much more durable really. The only differences is the pressure plate pressure fingers. And from what my uncle told me(btw is a master mech) says it could ruin Your master and Slave MS or tubes in the long long run because of the extra pressure, but then again, he is just basing that off of pretty much nothing he acutally experienced besides maybe the clutch Master cly.

if thats teh case, then why install a stage clutch...the clutches are interchangeable, period and work well in all cars. especially in a DD situation, you wont have issues, only thing you have to worry about is transmission issues down teh road as maximas/350/Gs are pretty notorious for

Then how are people running stage II and III clutches? I had a stage II for about a year without any hydraulic issues. BS if you ask me...

While that's true to a limited extent, most of us will have to repair clutch hydraulics at some point anyway. I think aging has more to do with our clutch hydraulic problems than the clutch itself.

The 5th gen OEM and Exedy stage 1 clutch do not increase the pressure very much over original. A 3 puck bronze clutch would be a bigger issue.

Call Dave B., 1-888-254-6060, ask for Dave Burnette in the Parts Dept. As for Courtesy Nissan you can order off of their website, http://www.courtesyparts.com/ or I guess talk to the parts department manager, idk b/c i've never had to call them, I just order from their website.

OEM, Exedy or Stage 1 is good.

Stage 2 is ok.

Anything higher will require excessive leg strength and not cool for DD.
