new exhaust..doesnt have o2 bung...advice?..plz

so ..yesterday, i put on my new y pipe, and full..y pipe back exhaust..2.5 all the way back to muffleer.....no cats, nothing...so its loud..but thats because of my leak lol....
the y pipe has the 2 o2 sensor holes ...thats good...hooked those up..no problems..now..the problem is the down stream o2...where the cat was..where the hole for the 3rd o2 sensor ususally is..is just pipe..so now obviously it threw a cel ...but i took it today to auto zone to check for the o2 code just for shizz and giggles...but no code haha ...idk!?!? no cel before exhaust, and now missing one o2, cel...but no code...
-..could i just drill...insert and weld the o2 in place with a couple spot welds,..would that ruin the o2?...should i use an o2 simulator?...advice on this would be great cuz im sure pple have ran into this because of everyone having done there exhaust before... thanks!

I had a bung put in my test pipe so i could just put the sensor in like stock.

ok....dont laugh too much...but i keep hearing test pipe, different pipe terms, etc...so what is the "test pipe"..like high flow cat or something?

Just exhaust piping with flanges welded on that take place of the catylitic converter

oh ok lol...so just extra pipe..well my exhaust is just welded all the way through..no flanges...not a big deal...got a buddy witha lift and welder so im not too worried bout having ease of access cuz we have no problems cutting and welding.. lol but i will look at getting that done soon because i wanna get rid of that darned light! haha i had it gone for a month...it was soo nice not seeing it there! but now..ugh haha..i might just use the stock bung...thatdrops down a lil bit and just weld that inplace?...possibly..

I had the stock bung cut off my stock cat and welded on my test pipe. No shop I went had the right bung size without ordering and I didnt want to wait

dude you can buy an O2 sensor bung for like $3 - any muffler shop should have them. you drill an appropriately sized hole in the pipe where you need the O2 sensor installed and weld the O2 bung on, and screw the O2 sensor in like it is supposed to be installed.

a test pipe is a replacement pipe that goes where your catalytic converter would be.

ok thats what ima do, i kinda wondered who would sell them, i wasnt sure how easy they were to come by, i will go look around tomorrow lol thanks for the advice!

if you can't find them at a muffler shop or parts store try a piping supplier like mcmaster carr or something like that. failing that, buy one online. i just googled and there are about a million places that sell them for $3-5.

btw I've flown in to the martinsburg, wv airport.

Just make sure that when you weld in the bung it's in the 9'oclock to 3'oclock range.

I thought that sensor didn't affect anything? When I replaced my cat, my friend took out the O2 for me while I was unbolting the rest of the catback and he crossthreaded it. I just have it ziptied there.

haha ok..im newbing again..when you say 10 ta 2 or 3 ta 9...you mean like if i cut off the exaust and looked down the pipe...like as if i was looking at the clock.....so like right on the side..or if i have enough room, up a little bit with the wire almost pointing at the drivers seat...ish?

It can be O2 simulated since it's a downstream O2, but I never heard about letting it be "free".

what brand y-pipe, normally they come with a bung welded in, but its no big deal to get one welded in though

the y pipe itself has 2 in it, but its the downflow one after the flex section and cat that im missing..on the "catback" section
