My car lights die when i press the gas

My car lights die when i press the gas

When i press the gas the dash lights radio ac heat and the outside lights go out but the car is still running fine. When i coast in neutral everything is fine The car doesnt have any problems when i go in reverse either. Can anyone make any suggestions

Im going to guess it either the battery or the alt.

Seems like the lights work fine and the car idles fine, but when you press the gas (cause an electrical pull) the lights die so the car gets the power it needs

I would venture to guess the same thing. You can have your starting and charging system tested for free at autozone. They will be able to tell you if you have a bad batt. or alt.

Check that your battery terminal connections are clean and tight.

This may be a stretch, but check and make sure that a wire harness hasn't gotten tangled with the gas pedal.

Problem Solved

Hey yea i finally fixed it .....it was in my charging system the ground to the alternator was off therefor it was causing my battery to overcharge......
