YO YO. My friend has a 95 Mit. Eclipse. I have wanted to race him for along time now. Every time we are in the gym "when are you gonna race me w\ your grocery cart wagon?" or "WHen you gonna take the family car out?" It is really ****ing me off. He has a 5 speed with a phaze 6 turbo, greddy inter cooler, blow off valve, intake and hks exuast. He spent like 3,400 for all his perfomance parts. It's a pretty fast car from what he says. I have a 5-speed w/ intake and a y pipe that is coming. Do you think he will blow me away? So what do you think is gonna happen? I don't wanna get toasted. He must go down even if I have to put bananas in his exaust pipe.

a stock gsx or gst 5 speed is very evenly matched to a stock 4th gen 5 speed maxima.. with all those mods, you do the math..

 

Better buy some bananas.

I have no clue what a "phaze 6" turbo is. But if he has a non-stock turbo and FMIC, you can be sure he is going to walk all over you.

 

Your *** is grass..LOL. You dont stand a chance, many of my friends have GSX'x and GST's, and they walk over some TT Supras here in the NYC, so do yourself afavor and dont race him, because you will not beat him, unless he is the worst stick driver in the world.

i dunno what a phaze 6 turbo is either, but my friend has a 95 GST. He has intake, downpipe, and exhaust. He is an auto and so am I. I just have intake. Anyway, when we race from a stop, I dont spank him, but I bet him everytime. I dunno if a phaze 6 turbo is better than the stock one, but if it is, then youll get worked cause it is damn close with my friend and he has the stock turbo.

I agree. If you get a supercharger, it would be a lot closer, but until then, I reccomend keeping your relationship in the gym and off the street. He would whomp you.

GSX is 3200 lbs and GST is around 3000 lbs. Lighter? Maybe not.

Why does everyone seem to think that the eclipse is some bad *** sports car?

It's very heavy for such a small car. A stock turbo def. helps, but it's really nothing special. I guess it all depends on how good the aftermarket parts are.

 

No competition. A guy in my club has a 95 GSX w/ GReedy Turbo w/up graded piping(3"), intercooler, BOV, Wastegate, Intake, Exhaust(3"), Boost Controller, timing gears, pulley, stock internals but runs a 11.8et best. The cars are heavy but nimble no doubt and can handle a lot of boost. You can try just to see by how much, but don't expect any miracles.

 

Who cares, your car is a complete joke. It is wrecked plus I beat you every time we race. Try that on for size you fat tub of goo! Take a hike automagic ho.
