99 Max clutch replacement
My first clutch replacement is in progress (160K miles), finally got the transaxle out... First observation is that the car really has to be jacked up quite high to maneuver the transaxle out of there... Some questions:
- is the throwout bearing pre-lubed or does it need to be lubed?
- what kind of grease is good to use? FSM calls for some lithium/moly stuff on some of the contact points, not sure what that is
- I am getting the flywheel resurfaced, would it need to be rebalanced also? or might that depend on how bad it was (mine was not scored, just glazed)
Any insight would be appreciated....

the tb should be lubed already. Only lube the contact points. Use lit/moly grease if possible, if not hight temp wheel bearing grease works too. If you're having the flywheel resurfaced, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have it balanced, although not required.
