OBD Drive cycle help

As part of an enhanced emissions test for Inspection & Maintenance (I/M), some States may require the System Readiness Test (SRT) status be checked. - The SRT is used to indicate whether the engine control module (ECM) has completed self diagnosis of major emissions systems and components. -

I replaced my EVAP almost 500 miles ago, reset the codes with a code reader but the IM system shows the CAT as still not ready therefore I cannot pass a NY inspection.

Any suggestions?

I believe you need to drive around for 20-30 minutes before the test so the main cat has time to warm up so that it will be ready.

hes talking about the srt, not the actual emissions test.

drive the car some more.. get on the freeway and drive. turn the car off and on several times. also get up to hwy speeds, then let off the gas, and back to hwy speeds. that should get the monitors ready.

Wow, this is nuts. I just did my inspection the end of October and didn't encounter any of this. Now me being a 95, they had to do the old school emissions test without plugging up the computer. Never had that kind of test though but I will be starting my own thread soon about the results from last year and this year.
