Help please! Intermittent start problem.

97 Maxima, automatic. New starter, new ignition switch. Good battery, good alternator.

When it does start, it starts fine. No hesitation at all. But most of the time it does not. No starter sound, no grinding, nothing. Just a click heard from the ignition switch.

This problem began about 10,000 miles ago. Back then, it wouldn't start about once a month and get progressively worse. Finally last week, I replaced both the starter and the ignition switch. It worked perfectly for only 3 days. Now it's back to that intermittent problem again.

I've been working on this problem on and off for a week now, and I'm running out of idea.

Thanks.

Neutral safety switch, try starting in neutral. Believe its mounted on the shifter.
