Saying "Goodbye, to the 4th Gen Memebers"

I hit a deer back in Oct. for those who know me, it's been fun and great having a 4th gen with all the mod's i've done. (00vi, Y-Pipe, true CAI, etc) Gained alot of respect from the town. Time to move on, gonna get this now.
I'll check back every now and then, thanks to: The Russian, SloMax, ModenaF1, PMOHR, Tigersharkdude.. all the Colorado group peeps aka: CONOC, and of all of my Texas peeps...Thanks for all the knowledge you guys!!!!

I know, i know, i'm getting alot of flak from my "Tuner" friends but that's the car i've always wanted...i might change my mind and get the 5th Gen, plus it's alot cheaper....right now i'm suffering from the old man syndrome...

Thanks for all the input guys, i'm gonna debate over it....i will miss modding a Max, not much you can do to a Bimmer...they already have the HID's, kinda throaty exhaust, somewhat low. But it's not fun if uyou can't do it yourself....

It's your money, get the car you want. I hate to see a fellow org member go, but maybe we'll see you back here in the future. Life's too short to hunt with an ugly dog.

I'm all about the German cars, but skip the 7. I drove a 745i once and it was a disappointment. It's got that retarded variable-assist steering that feels dead around town, clicky turn signal lever, dumb little shift lever, everything goes "blogn," and everything's gonna break because it's stupid.

Go for an E38 instead...that was the last good-looking 7, IMO, and more like a real car inside (ie no iDrive and everything doesn't click like a computer mouse).

Yeah, that's the body style i like, but to me it's a little dated, but it's still sharp as hell....the more and more i think about it, idk if i want that BMW...

IDK, guys, the more and more i think about it, those cars are hella expensive and not fun to mod, who wants to mod a German car without it looking all ghetto.
I had wayyy more fun working on the Max - pure satisfaction. Not to mention pulling up to another car in town and surprising him with keeping up or blowing past him with my 00VI newly installed, i even had a few guys flag me down to ask me what i had in therre, lmao... a true sleeper....
If i change my mind, i want another 4th Gen with a 3.5L....yeahhh boy!!!!!

Good luck with the fuel economy and maintenance on the Beemer.

I would rather get an Infiniti of the same vintage for less money.

Do not buy the 04 745i, they have issues with leaking coolant into valley pan requiring major $$$ to repair. You'd be better off with the sleek and classy looking E38, a true "Transporter"

My 03 530 with 70K that has never seen snow, cost me over $1600 in preventive maintenance ( entire cooling system, shocks, and bunch of other small maintenance) in just one year of ownership with less than 2K miles driven. All work done by myself.
You better have fat wallet overflowing with cash, or your credit cards are going to be maxed out if you buy the car and not be prepared to work on it yourself.
